PUEBLO MAGICO, EL CORAZON DE LA GENTE

A Magical Town, The Hear of The People

TODOS SANTOS

The Mexican oasis of Todos Santos nestles above a large huerta, or palm grove, on the Pacific coast of Baja California Sur.  Todos Santos was founded in 1724 and was a remote and relatively inaccessible outpost until the late 1800's when its vast aquifer was discovered.  Sugar cane farmers descended almost overnight, and the original village has flourished into a booming agricultural community where all kinds of tropical fruits and vegetables are grown

Despite the passage of time and inevitable change, Todos Santos remains unspoiled and has retained its wonderful colonial charm and developed into a cultural and tropical paradise. Todos Santos has a diverse selection of art galleries, shops, organic produce markets and many extremely good restaurants.

Iguana de los Mangos

The beautiful coastline of Baja California Sur offers numerous opportunities for inspiring walks, whale watching and, depending on when you visit, the nesting, hatching and release of Leatherback and Ridley Sea Turtles.  The climate is absolutely delightful year-round. The rainy season, which can be hot and humid, begins in August and continues through the end of September.  Winters are very mild, but you may require warm clothing in the evening. The local beaches are very accessible and all within a couple of miles of Todos Santos and provide ideal shell collecting, surfing, swimming or surf fishing opportunities.

Todos Santos is a haven for artists, craftsmen, surfers and weary travellers seeking adventure.  The Baja exudes natural beauty, peace and tranquility.  Todos Santos is a fantastic place to unwind and melt away the anxieties of a modern lifestyle.
